WebGroup Czech Republic Pays $1.2mil to Settle Florida AV Lawsuit

TALLAHASEE, Fla.—WebGroup Czech Republic, the parent company of various adult tube sites included XNXX and XVideos, settled an age verification lawsuit last month that was brought by Republican Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier.

As apart of the settlement, WebGroup Czech Republic and its affiliated companies, NKL Associates and Sonesta Technologies, is ordered by a Sarasota County court to pay in one sum $1.2 million for monetary relief.

"All payments made under this Judgment shall be made by wire transfer, cashier’s check, money order, or other certified funds payable to 'the Department of Legal Affairs' to the attention of Sasha Funk Granai, Deputy Director of Consumer Protection," reads the court filing dated April 30. WebGroup also solidified its adoption of age verification vendor AgeGo to serve as its third-party age assurance service in Florida.

This additionally serves as a settlement and closure of the case Uthmeier's office filed in August 2025 in the 12th Judicial Circuit for the state of Florida, which includes a civil division based in Sarasota County.

As AVN reported last summer, Attorney General Uthmeier accused the companies in this case of not complying with Florida House Bill (HB) 3, which is the sweeping age verification measure the state adopted that targets online pornography, adult content and mainstream social media platforms.
