Uncut James Sentenced to Prison for Assaulting The Flesh Mechanic

LOS ANGELES—Uncut James was sentenced to five years and eight months in confinement in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation on May 9, note court documents reviewed by AVN. His sentence is a result of an April 2024 attack he carried out against fellow male performer The Flesh Mechanic.

He was sentenced on two felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon that isn't a firearm and felony unlawful possession of a firearm.

An attempted murder charge was dropped during negotiations between the defense and prosecutors. The judge on the case recommended that Uncut James be confined to a fire camp rather than a traditional prison facility. California is known for alternative carceral programs, like its wildlife firefighting hotshot program for prisoners.

"The person that attacked me got 5 years in prison," reads a Friday X post by The Flesh Mechanic. He initially accused unnamed performers of being aware of the attack and that Uncut James had shared his plans to attack him with multiple people in the adult industry. Flesh Mechanic alleged, "I am aware of multiple performers, including an old 'friend' who egged him on to attack me, and there were 3 performers who knew the attack was going to take place.

"I’m starting a fresh slate mentally from this. Karma never misses, and the truth always comes out in the end," he added.

During the attack, the Flesh Mechanic was struck twice by a pickup driven by Uncut James as he was pulling out of a driveway of a friend's home on his motorcycle. This is what led to Flesh Mechanic fighting back against Uncut James and holding him down until local police showed up and arrested him.

"[Special] thank you to the detectives that worked the case and [helped] keep me safe and informed," Flesh Mechanic concluded in his post. AVN reported that Uncut James was arraigned on May 3, 2024, where he pleaded not guilty on an initial set of charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon that is not a firearm, and unlawful possession of a loaded firearm in public. James entered the plea at the Van Nuys West courthouse at the time.

Uncut James was reportedly prompted by jealousy after learning that The Flesh Mechanic had shot a scene with James' ex-girlfriend, adult performer Ivy Lebelle.

Lebelle accused James of being obsessive and mentally ill in a response post to a video Flesh Mechanic shared depicting himself holding James down after the two fought in the days after the attack. “For the record, I’m the ex Uncut James attacked [Flesh Mechanic] about,” Lebelle posted on X.

“I worked with [Flesh Mechanic] after I cut James out of my life. He’s a very scary person, and I was scared this would happen to me if I spoke up," she added.
