ProDx Health Debuts HPV Kit for Women

MENLO PARK, Calif.—Sexual health screening provider ProDx Health expands its offerings with a new HPV kit called the Trust 1 Home Collection Kit.

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common STD in the world, with some strains linked to cervical, anal and other types of cancer. Since it’s asymptomatic, most people don’t even know they have it, and people can spread the virus unknowingly. There’s no cure, but screening and testing, along with early detection, help protect one's health, as well as follow-up care. The Trust 1 Home Collection Kit detects up to 15 strains of HPV DNA in women.

The Trust 1 Home Collection Kit includes swabs for sample collection, a pre-paid return envelope, and a detailed instruction guide. It’s competitively priced at $95. Like all ProDx Health tests, results are available within 48 hours once the kit is received at the ProDx Health lab. A customer support team is there Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT, and the process is 100 percent discreet and confidential, with easy sample collection.

“Although there’s an HPV vaccine, people are still contracting the STD in large numbers. The vaccine isn’t 100 percent, and not everyone gets it," says Dr. K, ProDx Health founder and CEO. "Like GI Joe said, ‘Knowing is half the battle.’ If you know you have HPV, you can protect your health and make a follow-up care plan with your doctor. It’s essential to control your health destiny, and this is an easy way to do it.”
