CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Adult industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support will host a free, online support group starting next month focused on enhancing connection and personal growth. The six-week support group, “Enhancing Interpersonal Connections for Growth and Support” will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Selina Smith and will begin on Monday, December 1 at 9 p.m. ET.
“This group is designed to help performers explore meaningful interpersonal connections, starting with the relationship they have with themselves,” Smith said. “Over six weeks, we’ll work through authentic self-awareness, trust, intimacy and community, offering a safe space for reflection and actionable strategies for stronger, healthier relationships.”
Pineapple Support was founded by Leya Tanit in 2018, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organization, a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, has connected over 16,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling and emotional support.
“Building strong interpersonal connections is a vital part of emotional resilience,” Tanit said. “This support group offers performers a valuable opportunity to connect with themselves and others in a compassionate space, exploring trust, intimacy and community. These are tools we all need, both personally and professionally.”
The “Enhancing Interpersonal Connections for Growth and Support” group begins on Monday, December 1 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET . Sessions will last for around one hour and will take place online each Monday for six weeks. For more information about this support group and to reserve a spot, visit pineapplesupport.org/
