Pineapple Support to Host Group on Workplaces for Neurodivergents

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Adult industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support is set to host a free, online support group exploring the challenges neurodivergent individuals face in traditional work environments and why many turn to alternatives like the adult industry. The six-week support group, "Workplace Woes and Finding Alternatives," is sponsored by Clips4Sale and will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Tristan Brooks starting on Sunday, March 10 at 3 p.m. ET.

“This group will offer a supportive space for neurodivergent performers to explore why mainstream employment structures often fail them,” Brooks said. “We’ll unpack systemic barriers, share experiences and foster strategies to navigate or even thrive outside of traditional norms. The goal is to validate our paths and build community through shared understanding.”

Pineapple Support was founded by Leya Tanit in 2018, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organization, a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, has connected over 19,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling and emotional support.

“People with neurodivergent diagnoses face high rates of unemployment in mainstream industries, and many have found that flexible workplaces like the adult industry offer a more welcoming alternative,” said Tanit. “Too often, traditional workplaces are ill-equipped to accommodate those who think and operate differently. I’m proud that Pineapple Support can offer a space where performers can unpack these frustrations, share support, and envision better pathways forward.”

The six-week support group begins on Sunday, March 10 at 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CET. Sessions will last approximately one hour and will take place online each week at the same time. For more information and to reserve a spot, visit pineapplesupport.org/support-groups.
