Mia Ventura's Mental Competency Questioned in L.A. Theft Case

LOS ANGELES—Former OnlyFans model and social media influencer Mia Ventura's ability to stand trial and her mental competency have been called into question by her defense attorney. Last week, Ventura's attorney declared doubt over her state of mind.

According to local news reports, Ventura was last seen in a Los Angeles County courtroom dressed in a blue jail jumpsuit, crying, limping and blurting seemingly absurd statements during a hearing. While cameras were not permitted inside during the hearing, it was said that Ventura was heard making concerning statements.

"Just deport me back to Israel," Ventura reportedly yelled. ABC 7 reported that she also blurted out, "They broke my rib. Just send me home," "They're beating me up," and "I can't survive in jail. I can't even stand."

Reporters in the courtroom also witnessed Ventura being escorted in and out of the courtroom several times, with one instance of a bailiff wheeling her back in on a roller chair. Because of her attorney telling the court that Ventura's mental capacity was in question based on instances like what was displayed during the hearing, this freezes proceedings in the felony theft case with which she is charged. The court must evaluate her.

A timeline on a mental health evaluation is to be seen. Ventura is currently being held without bail in a Los Angeles County jail, as she was declared a flight risk by the courts. She was formally charged earlier this year for a set of offenses involving her stealing from several affluent men and women across the Los Angeles metro area. If found guilty in the Los Angeles felony case, she faces up to 11 years in a California prison. Prosecutors accuse Ventura of using dating apps and cultivating relationships to burglarize and steal from older men and younger women throughout the Los Angeles area, like Westlake Village and West Hollywood.

Another criminal case is pending, too.

Over the summer, Ventura was arrested on a felony warrant for theft, which was filed by the Indio Police Department (IPD), in a high-value robbery that took place at an Airbnb within Indio city limits. The crime occurred during the 2025 run of the Coachella music festival, as AVN reported in July.

Ventura, who has touted herself as the "first" top OnlyFans model of Israeli origin, was featured as the July 2023 Penthouse Pet of the Month.
