MakeLoveNotPorn Founder, Labour MP Team Up for 'Summer of Sex'

LONDON—Cindy Gallop, the founder and chief executive officer of MakeLoveNotPorn, has partnered with Samantha Niblett, a Labour Party MP for the district of South Derbyshire, to make this summer a "summer of sex" in a campaign to promote comprehensive sex education in the U.K.

According to the tabloid Metro, Niblett was able to secure a parliamentary debate on the issue of "lifelong sexual education" scheduled to take place this autumn.

"We want to take the shame out of sex, especially so it can’t be used as a weapon of oppression and harm against others," Niblett wrote in a series of LinkedIn posts.

"This Labour government is serious about tackling violence against women and girls and supporting boys and men—who are increasingly being drawn into the toxicity of the manosphere—to understand their positive and important role in society," she added.

Niblett presents the effort as a tool to help take on the Starmer government's crackdown on "harmful online content," notes Politics Home. AVN has reported on this effort, including bans on consensual choking and simulated age-play pornography where adults pretend to be minors with other adults.

"We must educate people about what healthy, respectful, and joyful sex and love really look like in real life—for every consenting person across the U.K.," Niblett said.
