First Time Videos Being Investigated By Ofcom

LONDON—The United Kingdom's digital regulator, Ofcom, announced Tuesday that it is investigating First Time Videos, a network of adult membership sites, for violating the age verification and assurance measures mandated by the country's sweeping Online Safety Act.

The announcement came in a press release announcing eight other Online Safety Act investigations targeting the controversial messaging board website 4chan and CSAM distribution file sharing platforms like Im.ge. First Time Videos hosts websites such as FTVGirls.com and FTVMilfs.com, and a modeling agency called FTVModeling.

Ofcom accuses FTV of not deploying "highly effective age assurance in place to protect children from pornography," notes the agency's announcement on Tuesday.

"The service does not appear to have taken steps to implement highly effective age assurance on their services, as required under...the Online Safety Act," says Ofcom.

FTV could not be reached for comment at post time.
