Enforcement of Utah VPN Rule on Porn Sites Paused Until Oct. 2

SALT LAKE CITY—Pornhub parent company Aylo and the state of Utah informed a federal district court on Thursday that all parties have agreed to further delay the enforcement of a state law preventing the use of virtual private networks to get around content blocks established by the state's sweeping age verification statutes.

AVN previously reported that a pause in the law's enforcement was put in place when Aylo filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah.

That pause was due to be up on September 3, but now the latest extension of enforcement forbearance is set to end on October 22.

Meanwhile, consumer protection authorities for the state of Utah are still taking public comments on how to best enforce the new rules adopted by the state legislature.
