LOS ANGELES—Corey D. Silverstein, the driving force behind MyAdultAttorney.com and Adult.Law, on Friday announced that he will be hosting his latest Legal Impact Webinar entitled "SCOTUS Has Spoken - Where Does Age Verification Go From Here" at 4 p.m. EST on July 10.
This session, sponsored by payment provider, SegPay, will be moderated by ClaraKitty and feature special guests, Mike Stabile of the Free Speech Coalition and attorney Lawrence Walters.
The adult industry has been waiting patiently for the United States Supreme Court to weigh in on the constitutionality of Texas’ Age Verification law, and by the time of this webinar, the Supreme Court will have released its critical opinion. In the webinar, the group will discuss the implications of the Supreme Court’s ruling and where things go from here.
“This is by far one of the most important court rulings to ever have been made for the adult industry," Silverstein said. "This decision has the potential for changing the direction of age verification in the United States and the entire industry and its future will be affected. The goal of this seminar is for Larry, Mike and myself to help the industry understand the decision and how to move forward."
"The U.S. Supreme Court is about to issue a landmark decision on adult website age verification laws," Walters said. "The decision could have wide-ranging implications for the adult industry and the First Amendment. In this webinar, Corey and I look forward to breaking down the ruling and how it will affect adult website operators. This is not one to miss."
Mike Stabile remarked, "Free Speech Coalition v. Paxton is one of the most closely watched cases before the court this term and the decision could have profound consequences for our industry and online speech more broadly. The webinar is a chance for us to unpack what it means in a practical sense."
