Aylo, Cupcake Girls Team on Trafficking Prevention Video Series

MONTREAL—Pornhub parent company Aylo and The Cupcake Girls, an anti-trafficking nonprofit, have launched Safety Training With The Cupcake Girls, a new co-produced video series informing adult content creators about essential safety practices to protect themselves and prevent exploitation.

Featuring industry veterans Cherie DeVille and Sofia Rose, the series offers expert guidance on security, risk prevention and industry best practices. According to press materials, this marks the first partnership between an adult company and an anti-trafficking organization focused on preventing trafficking and enhancing safety for creators both online and offline.

The first two episodes in the series include:

"How to Safely Shoot Your Own Content – Presented by Cherie DeVille" – With the rise of independent content creation, many performers now manage their own production without traditional studio oversight. This episode provides key guidance on safety protocols, STI testing, consent practices and digital security to help creators build sustainable and secure careers.

"Tips for Working With Talent Agencies – Presented by Sofia Rose" – This episode explores self-representation versus agency management, offering practical advice on vetting agencies, recognizing red flags, and advocating for fair treatment.

The series is part of Aylo’s broader partnership with The Cupcake Girls to combat trafficking and improve online safety for adult performers. The collaboration ensures that those facing potential abuse in the industry have access to a trusted anti-trafficking organization that can provide meaningful assistance.

"At Aylo, trust and safety is at the core of everything we do," said Alex Kekesi, Pornhub VP Brand and Community. "The Cupcake Girls have built a remarkable legacy of advocacy and harm reduction, and this partnership strengthens our shared commitment to sex workers' well-being. As the industry evolves, partnerships like these are essential—a lifeline for empowering performers, promoting informed decision-making, and ensuring their safety."

The press materials add, "The series serves as a harm reduction tool, addressing safety gaps created by laws intended to combat trafficking that have instead arguably made conditions more dangerous for sex workers by eliminating critical safety tools like client screening platforms. Without these protections, many adult creators face greater risks of exploitation. This partnership provides expert-driven education to help performers protect themselves."

"Since 2018 when FOSTA-SESTA passed, it has continued endangering lives, creating an urgent, ongoing need for real support and resources," said Amy-Marie Merrell, co-executive director of The Cupcake Girls. "Performers deserve the tools to make informed decisions about their work, and this series speaks directly to the concerns we hear from the community. Partnering with Aylo on this initiative allows us to expand access to critical information and reinforce our commitment to the well-being of sex workers."
