Richie Zaye of Zaye Entertainment and Northstar Associates announced today the completion of his first gay feature, Damian Ford in Hawaii. Zaye, whose hetero and transsexual lines include Anal Addicts, Rectal Rooter, Tranny Hunter, and Pussy Foot'n, decided to enter the gay arena to broaden his catalog and offer a wider selection to his customers.
Gay porn star Damian Ford was tapped to co-direct (with Zaye) the five-scene feature after shooting footage for Zaye's new gay reality site www.PenisPalooza.com.
Ford also stars in the feature that includes newcomer Casper Sloan, Marco Paris, Kent Larson, and Rob Romoni.
"Shooting in Hawaii isn't an easy task," Zaye told AVN.com. "And when Damian pointed out the areas he wanted to shoot in, I thought he was nuts. But he proved me wrong. With machetes for the underbrush and rubber rafts full of equipment, we ventured across rivers, climbed mountains, crossed waterfalls, and even rapelled to locations I thought we would never be able to shoot at. Thankfully, when the fun began, we had enough insect repellant so the talent wouldn't have noticeable bug-bites."
Zaye plans to release Damian Ford in Hawaii as a two-disc set in September. "One disc will be the movie," Zaye said, "and the second disc will include extras like behind-the-scenes, bloopers, and cast interviews, and give the viewers a good look at Hilo, Hawaii, and the Big Island's natural wonders. It's better than watching the Travel Channel."
According to Zaye, the movie will also be available in a softcore version for gay cable channels.
"I really want to come out of the gate strong with this first project for the gay market," Zaye concluded. "I want to do something special for my current and new customers, that's why I'm so excited about this two-disc set—the customer will get more bang for his buck."
