If your pleasure is a hardcore soap opera, the much-anticipated gay porn soap, Wet Palms, has an Internet home, WetPalms.com, featuring actor bios, audition tapes, preview clips, and a guide to the soap’s array of characters and plot lines, according to joint producers Jet Set Productions and NakedSword.com.
“WetPalms.com gives viewers an inside look at both the actors and the characters,” said NakedSword.com president Tim Valenti about the Website. “A strong Web presence has become an essential part of television and movie promotion and with a multi-faceted production like Wet Palms, it’s absolutely crucial.”
Site visitors will find interlinking webs of social scandal, corporate power plays, and compromising photos feeding into Wet Palms, the producers said. Jet Set president Brett Drysdale isn’t a stranger to projects like this – he worked with NakedSword.com and Valenti on the online distribution of GayVN winner The Hole.
Drysdale said WetPalms.com will reflect its own quality and the quality of the soap itself. “Not only does it raise the bar for future movie productions,” Drysdale said, “it’s a fun, sexually lush, and intensively creative project.”
But NakedSword.com and Jet Set have plans for WetPalms.com beyond promoting the soap – visitors in the coming months will see outtakes, photo galleries, contests, and a production blog with updates from the set and from the soap’s performers.
Wet Palms is set for a September 30 premiere at NakedSword.com and affiliate sites, with the first season set for DVD release October 10. The first round of filming – directed by Michael Moore and written by Jack Shamama and Michael Stabile, who are signed on for the first two seasons – finished last month.
