LOS ANGELES—Ben Rush remembers standing in a grassy patch in the middle of a Northern California redwood forest with performers Derek Kage, Paul Wagner and Jayden Marcos when it happened.
“We were discussing the best way to nail a double penetration. They were very proud of the position we came up with. So, of course, I had to up the ante,” recalls the Falcon | NakedSword writer/director. “I remember saying sardonically, ‘I’ll give you a round of applause only when you fit three dicks in one asshole.’ “
Apparently, all they needed was the challenge.
“I saw their minds working furiously until we settled on a formation that stretched Derek to his limits.”
That led to the last-minute addition of Blain O’Connor to the scene, and the rest will soon be history.
“Each said it felt great, and there’s always excitement in the extreme,” Rush says. “It’s really quite something to watch. I’d never even seen a triple penetration before; I wasn’t sure it would even be possible given our surroundings.”
It promises to be one of the most talked-about scenes of the year (and beyond). And that’s not the only scene in Wild Game that can make that claim. (You will never look at flashlights the same way again…more on that later.)
The anticipated project from NakedSword and Disruptive Films that launched this week is gloriously unhinged, an audacious, envelope-pushing thriller. The long-overdue collaboration from two of the studio groups most devoted to scripted films proves to be both animalistic and erotic, and revels in the primal nature of man.
And it was a long time coming.
A Thrilling Development
“Believe it or not, I outlined Wild Game in 2021,” shares Rush. “I had such a great time writing Ride or Die for Raging Stallion Studios and was excited to create another boundary-pushing thriller. I kept it in my files until I was able to find the right time, the right location, and the right partner with whom to produce a project on such a large scale.”
The film centers on two of the world’s wealthiest and most depraved businessmen (Wagner and O’Connor), who team up to offer a group of down-on-their-luck men a chance to win life-changing money. But there’s a dangerous catch.
“I love thrillers, but I’m also a sucker for good drama and a light-hearted rom-com. For me, it’s more about the mindset I’m in when I’m writing a screenplay. I was clearly very aggravated with somebody when I sat down to draft Wild Game,” Rush laughs. “Overall, I would say I’m very much about propulsive storytelling, and that can be at the center of any genre.” (And, for the record, the next movie he’s shooting is a comedy.)
Rush cites Richard Connell’s 1924 short story “The Most Dangerous Game”—and the subsequent 1932 film—as his jumping off point. The women’s prison movies of the 1970s and ’80s were also influences, as were films such as Deliverance and The Purge.
“When I wrote the script, I included more contemporary elements—you’ll find some social commentary layered into the dialogue—which I think make Wild Game a wholly unique experience.”
Development started during the summer of 2024, initiating what the co-director calls “a year-long labor of love.” They found a scenic location in Northern California’s Wine Country and hand-picked cast members “who could knock the material out of the park.” That also includes Heath Halo, Andrew Delta, Miles Fallon and Mike Monroe.
“By the time principal photography began, it was magic.”
What Happened in Vegas
Two years after the seed for Wild Game was planted, the project was propelled forward by a chance meeting.
“I’d met Jessica Jasmin at the GayVN Awards in 2023, and we were both energized by the idea of collaborating on a film,” says Rush, adding that Falcon | NakedSword CEO and president Tim Valenti had already been speaking to ASGmax about a co-production. All agreed that this material seemed like the perfect match for the Disruptive Films banner.
“Jessica Jasmin is a joy. She’s talented, thoughtful, collaborative, and considerate, and she was just the right kind of partner in crime. She has good instincts and cares deeply about the quality of the product.”
As part of Gamma, Jasmin notes she has always worked closely with the Falcon Studios and Raging Stallion brands.
“Our teams have been managing their websites and supporting their marketing efforts, so a creative collaboration felt like a natural next step,” she says. “I've always admired [Falcon | NakedSword’s] dedication to storytelling and visuals. Since I entered the industry, I've looked up to their releases. They’re consistently polished, iconic, and truly cinematic. This collaboration feels like something that was meant to happen.”
And no duo could be better prepared. For the past three years, Jasmin and Rush have both been nominated in the Best Directing—Feature category at GayVNs, usually co-directing for their respective studios.
“Working with Ben was fantastic! We definitely share a similar creative sensibility, especially when it comes to detail,” Jasmin says. “Communication flowed naturally between us, which is so important in any co-production. There was a mutual respect for each other's work that made the process smooth and inspiring.”
(Sexy) Summer Camp
For all of the intensity on camera, the mood behind the scenes for the Wild Game shoot was anything but.
“It was amazingly beautiful in Sonoma. We were greeted by deer each morning and had a cozy fire pit that everyone gathered around in the evenings,” says Rush. “Naturally, there were s’mores and lots of naughty stories. We also celebrated Heath Halo and Miles Fallon’s birthdays during production, so that meant cakes of all kinds. You might want to ask Miles more about that. I can’t say more.”
Speaking of cakes, Rush praised O’Connor’s culinary skills: “In addition to being hot, he can cook! He made breakfast for the cast and crew, including eggs, bacon, potatoes, and delicious pancakes.”
“The entire shoot felt like summer camp,” added Jasmin. “Fun, chaotic, creative, and deeply collaborative. Sure, there were tough moments, but the energy on set was amazing. Everyone worked hard to bring the vision to life, and we had a great time doing it.”
One of Rush’s favorite pastimes was watching Jasmin try to co-direct in head-to-toe mosquito netting.
“I loved everything about this experience, which was essentially summer camp,” he says. “I’m surprised I’m able to say that, especially since I never wanted to go to sleepaway camp as a kid and have never been a huge fan of nature. It was really about the people for me. Everyone bonded quickly, and I think we were all a little sad to leave.”
Hammer Time
Back in front of the camera, Rush was coming up with more ways to push boundaries—and push them up holes. From big wooden spoons to pool noodles to churros, he has always managed to surprise fans (and his cast). Wild Game proved no exception.
“You know I love an unlikely object finding its way into someone’s ass, and I wasn’t going to pass up this flashlight opportunity. I highlighted that moment in the script when I sent Miles the first draft, and he was immediately enthusiastic.”
That’s right: A very big, very hard flashlight is the latest object of Rush’s desire.
“The scene between Blain and Miles was written to be very, very rough. I had no idea, though, just how much Miles actually enjoys being manhandled and tossed around. I remember stopping a few times while we were shooting to make sure he was okay,” Rush says. “Turns out, he was loving every second of it. Frankly, I was surprised he didn’t ask to take it home.”
Meanwhile, in a version of the film available exclusively at NakedSword.com, fans can see more fetish fun not in the standard release.
“I wrote a golden shower into the screenplay. Paul is supposed to dominate Heath in the most aggressive and degrading ways, and the piss felt very in line with the tone of the scene. As far as Heath’s enjoyment level? Let’s just say this wasn’t the first time he didn’t say no.”
That scene is part of an unforgettable return for Wagner in a demented, against-type performance.
“I’d wanted to work with Heath for a while. I’m so glad it finally came together,” he says. “It was such a fun and hot scene to shoot. I think pissing on him fit in perfectly with the concept; degrading him that way was kind of the cherry on top to pull it all together.”
But the performer’s most challenging scene was yet to come.
A Role-Reversal Reunion
Wild Game is giving fans a welcome reunion. Kage and Wagner are together again after their GAYVN Award nominated scene for Best Duo in the 2023 Raging Stallion hit Overdrive.
“Reuniting with Paul was very special,” Kage says. “What is not to like about him? Tall, muscular, handsome, and hung with a swagger about him that would make any man melt.”
Wagner won a Best Supporting Actor trophy for that performance. But in an interesting twist, their roles are reversed in Wild Game.
“Derek and Paul have undeniable chemistry, and Jessica and I thought it would be fun to pit them against each other again, but in reverse. We blew up their original dynamic,” says Rush.
“This role is definitely against-type for Paul, but his depraved and twisted character in Wild Game gave him the opportunity to sink his teeth (and tongue) into some juicy material—and he nailed it. He should be very proud of his work here.”
Wagner was thrilled to be back working with both Rush and Kage.
“I don’t do a lot of studio content these days, so any of it is a change of pace for me. I really enjoyed playing this particular character,” he says. “I love working with Ben—he’s incredibly talented. He knows how to make you look good and get the best out of you. And Derek is fantastic; he’s very professional and unbelievably sexy. That voice can make anyone swoon. I think what’s great about our scenes together is that there is such palpable chemistry between us.”
Kage has been a constant muse for Rush, also appearing in projects like Bred & Breakfast: All the Way Inn, Heart On, Spain in the Ass 2 and The Way to a Man’s Heart.
“Ben made sure to bring out the best in his performers and the scenes as a whole,” Kage says. “In the final scene when I was eating Jayden’s ass, Ben asked if Blain could suck on my tongue in between rimming. We both agreed, and it gave the scene a little something extra that we wouldn’t have otherwise thought of.”
And reuniting with Wagner was extra special.
“I was thrilled when Ben said Paul and I would be having another scene together. I don’t know what it is, but there is just something between me and Paul that causes sparks to fly,” says Kage. “This scene was exciting, though, because it was a reversal of roles from Overdrive. This time, Paul is more the predator and I’m his prey, and to be quite honest, I wasn’t mad about that at all.”
And back in the forest, there was the matter of that double-turned-triple penetration they both had to deal with.
“I’ve done double penetration plenty of times in real life, but I’ve never done triple penetration before,” says Wagner. “When we originally discussed doing it, I wasn’t even sure it would be possible. It’s hard enough to get three guys’ bodies in line to do double penetration, never mind four. But it somehow came together, and I will say I really enjoyed it. Once Jayden got his dick in there, it felt amazing.”
But as the bottom, it was Kage who had the most daunting challenge.
“I had never actually been on the receiving end of a triple penetration before. I have been on the giving end, though. I knew the ‘logistics’ of making it happen, and knew the guys in the group were very capable,” he says. “You never really know exactly what will happen on set on any given day; but when we finally got down to it, I knew I wanted to make it happen. When Jayden finally slides his very thick dick inside of me while both Paul and Blain were already DPing me, it was some of the most pleasurable pain I’d ever experienced. It’s truly a highlight of my career.”
