Don’t ask, do tell: Blast-from-the-past porn pup Seth Black, who was a ubiquitous figure in the late 1990s and early 2000s and did more than 100 titles, got in touch recently. He dropped out of the adult scene, but now he may be coming back to perform in movies for BG Enterprises, run by longtime friends and supporters of the cute Latino twink.
Black said for much of the past decade, he co-habitated with a high-ranking U.S. Marine lieutenant colonel, who was well-respected and well-known in Republican circles and a decorated military leader. The two had a commitment ceremony and lived in a 3,500-square-foot house on a five-acre estate in Oregon, and things were idyllic until Black’s partner became aggressive following his return from Iraq.
“I started feeling like a prisoner,” Black told AVN.com. “I couldn’t have my own friends. Then, things got abusive.”
Black said he was beaten and filed domestic abuse charges against the lieutenant colonel, and then called the Marines. A spokesman there said such aggressive behavior when returning from combat was common, and the Corps would take action.
“I wanted the white-picket-fence dream, and we had a beautiful little life, but it got really ugly fast and I found myself in an abusive relationship,” Black said.
With the help of attorneys he met through adult industry friends, Black is filing for a civil dissolution of the relationship and is trying to get a settlement before he goes public with the name of his longtime partner (who, for now, is saying they had no physical relationship, and Black was a caretaker of his property.)
Black said he has sex tapes of the two of them together, and his partner always was intrigued with Black’s porn career.
Maybe the lieutenant colonel should have watched Black in Dick Sergeant, Shaving Ryan’s Privates or Historic Affairs, all of which have military themes. Perhaps more relevant: Black was the trick who outed the president (played by Dino Philipps) in Penetration on Pennsylvania Avenue.
At the moment, Black said, he is hiding out in Hawaii, awaiting the outcome of his legal wrangling and looking for someone to help him write a tell-all book.
More quickies:
- Two Raging Stallion 2010 calendars just arrived in my mailbox, and they are fantastic. Kent Taylor’s photographs in both calendars are among the best I’ve ever seen. The “Stallions” calendar features 12 erect studs, a few wearing leather straps. “Inked” features the tattooed guys of Raging Stallion. You’ll want one for every bathroom.
- Mainstream director Sam Irvin (who cast a number of porn stars in his “Dante’s Cove” TV show, has worked with Gino Colbert often in the past and served as a celebrity judge at porn awards shows) helped produce a three-CD set of music by Kay Thompson: Kay Thompson: Think Pink! A Kay Thompson Party. A friend of Liza Minnelli and a noted star in her own right during the 1930s, Thompson’s music is upbeat, vampy, campy and trampy. Irvin wrote the accompanying 24-page booklet that includes rare photos of Thompson with the likes of Clark Gable, Fred Astaire and Judy Garland. The collection hit the streets Sept. 8 and offers a nice preview of Irvin’s upcoming 2010 Simon & Schuster book about a gal who was a penultimate fag-hag before such a phrase was known.
- Hot Desert Knights found 10 straight guys and coaxed them into jacking off for the camera. The result is Hot, Raw, Live, Sex, the first in a new line the studio calls Straight Guys 4 Gay Eyes. A HDK spokesman said the DVD portrays the straight guys starting up a conversation with the director and then launching into whatever feels good: stripping, posing, working themselves up and finally cumming for the camera. Unfortunately, the names of the performers are irrelevant because chances are they’re all one-shot wonders. Just in case they’re not, some of the names are Kyle Gunner, Davey Biggz, Joey Sparxx and Hank Cox.
- One of my earliest interviews in the porn world was with the late, great gay superstar Al Parker, who died of AIDS in 1992. I met him in the mid-1980s, and he loved talking about sex and his movies. Now, Bijou Video has re-mastered his kinkiest movie, Turned On (1982), and plans to release the updated DVD Sept 11. Parker called the flick his “most bizarre” movie. The climactic orgy scene ends with everyone except Parker in a steam room, all wearing Sky Dawson masks but dressed differently: as a sailor, a cowboy, a businessman, a leather guy, a logger and a construction worker. It’s like the Village People gone wild. Over the course of the film, Parker sucks off 11 guys, humps five asses and certainly “turns on” countless viewers.
- Relatively new company Triga Films, based in the UK, plans an imminent release of Rugby Fuckin’ Union, starring some honest-to-goodness European rugby players. The main four footballers are actually pre-pro players shown training for a new season. They tease each other into doing more and more crazy things and end up fucking each other on camera. One of them has a massive 10-inch appendage hidden in his shorts.
- Company Number 4, owned by Cybersocket, is showing off more raw footage from Bobby Garcia, who is famous for being able to coax Marines right off the base and into gay sex. (Garcia’s biggest fan is director John Waters, who once asked me to put him in touch with the reclusive gay porn director.) The online company has launched a mobile version of the site AWOLMarines.com. Those who prefer their unrehearsed jack-off sessions on the go can indulge at AWOLMobile.com.
