Maleflixxx Pledges Support

TORONTO – Gay video-on-demand site Maleflixxx has pledged to donate $1 from every rental made on Dec. 1. The money will be used to support AIDS treatment in Africa.

The donations are part of Maleflixxx’s Second Annual Red Ribbon Campaign.

“Maleflixxx is committed to supporting organizations that work to impact the livelihoods of communities being devastated by the HIV/AIDS epidemic worldwide,” said Eric Johnson, president of Maleflixxx parent company Sureflix Digital Distribution. “All of the proceeds raised by this initiative will be donated to a registered charity that works to support grassroots, community-based organizations and initiatives in their fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa.

“HIV/AIDS knows no boundaries of age, race, or sexual preference,” Johnson continued. “As members of the gay adult entertainment industry, we believe that it is our responsibility to do our part in fighting this terrible disease by providing financial assistance and facilitating open communication about HIV/AIDS. This is our way of working toward a worldwide goal.”

World AIDS Day, which is intended to raise money for and increase awareness of HIV/AIDS issues, has been an annual event since 1988.
