Ducati Studios Network to Debut Gay Western Drama ‘Drifters’

PALM SPRINGS, Calif.—Ducati Studios Network will premiere Drifters, a new gay adult mini-series from Trailer Trash Boys, on May 20. Presented by Squirt.org, the multi-episode series brings together an all-star ensemble cast in a re-imagining of the gay cowboy myth.

“Set across desert roads, motels, gas stations, RVs and forgotten pit stops in a world that feels both familiar and slightly removed from today, Drifters follows a group of men chasing freedom, desire and connection under the wide western sky. The series combines explicit adult storytelling with the visual language of classic westerns, queer beefcake photography and modern cinematic erotica,” a movie description reads.

The first season will feature 14 sex scenes, with a story arc that threads throughout the series. New releases will roll out weekly on DucatiStudios.com. Drifters will also be showcased on NakedSword in August.

Drifters came from the desire to make something larger in scale, more emotionally resonant and more cinematic,” said Daddy Patrick, writer and director. “We wanted to build an episodic series with recurring characters whose experiences would unfold across a broader seasonal arc, rather than exist as isolated moments. The cowboy element came naturally, but this is not about 19th-century mythology. It is about the gay cowboy as a sensual, stylized, deeply queer figure.”

At the center of the series is Handsome, played by Falcon|NakedSword exclusive Ryan Orion. “Handsome is the wounded beauty of the story, a young drifter whose outward beauty hides a deeper longing to be seen, chosen and claimed. His emotional journey, and his connection with Dude, played by Derek Kage, gives the season its central romantic arc,” the description adds.

“The goal was to create characters the audience would find undeniably sexy, but also emotionally legible and relatable,” Patrick continued. “These are men viewers can desire, identify with, argue over and invest in. It is an ensemble built for people to pick their favorite, tag their friends and come back because they care about what happens next.”

The cast list of Drifters also includes Max Adonis as Fella, Brian Bonds as Stud, Kane Fox as Bro, Daddy Patrick as Daddy, Serg Shepard as Buddy, Joel Someone as Wiseguy, Jonah Wheeler as Rodeo, and Sean Xavier as Boss.

The visual world of Drifters draws from 1960s Hollywood westerns, Bob Mizer’s Physique Pictorial-era cowboy imagery, painter George Quaintance, Ramrod and Honcho magazines, and the texture of vintage film photography.

Drifters features an original theme song by Jasun Mark “inspired by stripped-down electronica and contemporary New Wave, creating a mood that is atmospheric, unexpected, sexually charged and distinctly modern.”

“With Drifters, I wanted to create the kind of content people come back to,” said Ducati, executive producer of Drifters and founder of Ducati Studios Network. “It has sex, story, characters and a world you want to spend time in. The cowboy theme also hits home for me. I was in rodeo as a teenager in New Mexico, so there is a personal connection to this material.”

Drifters premieres May 20 on Ducati Studios Network, with an August release on NakedSword.
