LAS VEGAS—From Disruptive Films and the minds of director/writer Micah Martinez and executive producer Jeremy Babcock comes The Hive, a four-part psychological thriller “that explores a wellness retreat that isn’t quite what it seems,” a movie description reads.
Part One of The Hive, titled “Ovum,” stars ASG exclusives Andrew Delta, Carter Woods and Trevor Harris.
“As Harris and Delta prepare to set off for a wellness retreat, Carter makes his feelings of disapproval clear. Andrew might partially agree but intends to support Trevor and go along for the ride—after a sexy going away present from his boyfriend, of course,” the description teases.
An all-star cast also includes ASG exclusive Justin Matthews, as well as Jay Wu, Ty Santana and Colt Spence.
Delta shared his excitement for the production, saying, “This is the most excited I've been about a project yet. Everything from the story to the stacked cast makes this a film you don't want to miss."
Co-star and fellow exclusive Woods had similar excitement, offering, “Working with Andrew, Trevor, Justin and the ASGmax crew is always a pleasure. This one is for sure going to be something to look out for and definitely one of the best films of the year. “The cult concept came to me very quickly. The idea of a community where members are tormented and controlled by having their personal pains used against them was just the right kind of twisted,” explained director/writer Martinez. “Once the idea came to me, all the characters became fleshed out in my head and I had to write it out.”
The Hive is a four-part cinematic feature from Disruptive Films. Part One, “Ovum,” dropped today, June 26. Part Two, “Hatchling,” follows on July 10; Part Three, “Chrysalis," arrives July 24; with finale scene “Drones” closing out the feature on August 7.
