Christian Styles' Cause of Death Released

DETROIT/LOS ANGELES—The cause of death for Christian Styles, the gay adult performer who died in August, was revealed in several Tuesday news reports. The celebrity tabloids People.com and TMZ reported that an autopsy revealed Styles died of a combination of alcohol and kratom toxicity, leading to an increase in "the risk of sudden death."

Active in the adult entertainment industry since 2021, Styles only appeared in a few studio scenes, but built a prolific social media following of over 1 million accounts.

AVN confirmed Styles' death via records from the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office and an obituary published to social media. The family's obituary described Styles as a “cherished son,” “beloved brother” and “adored uncle." He is survived by his parents, siblings, nieces and nephew, and “many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends."

Styles won a fan-voted GayVN Award in 2023 for Favorite All-Male Creator Video alongside Chris Damned.
