‘Bred & Breakfast’ Goes on an Unforgettable Christmas Vacation

LOS ANGELES—Ben Rush has had a dark, demented year. He forced the biggest industry stars to run for their lives in Wild Game. Then he unleashed Lucifer on them in The Devil You Know. As 2025 winds down, he needed to embrace the angel on his shoulder to save his sanity—and lower the heartbeats of his frequently terrified casts.

“One would have to question my mental state following my slate of films this year,” laughed the award-winning Falcon | NakedSword writer and director. “In all seriousness, switching gears into a light, comedic Christmas movie was just the reset I needed.”

Making two very dark, intense projects back-to-back, Rush says his head was stuck in heavier themes for half the year. Enter Bred & Breakfast: The Push It Inn—where Rush turns on the lights and releases all that tension in a funny and flirtatious fuck fest.

“Doing something playful and spirited let me reconnect with the fun and camp of the genre and remind myself that erotic storytelling can be colorful and joyful,” he said. “The contrast brought back a sense of creative balance.”

The project—which unveils new scenes this month leading up to Christmas—is a joyous mashup of two iconic Falcon | NakedSword traditions. It’s Rush’s third Falcon holiday film, following Cumming Home For Christmas in 2022 and Cum All Ye Faithful in 2023. It’s also his third Bred & Breakfast installment, following The Come Inn in 2022 and All the Way Inn last year.

“The Bred & Breakfast films have become a creative homebase for me,” Rush says. “By this third installment, it feels less like making a sequel and more like spending time with a familiar style that brings out the best in the cast and crew. It’s been meaningful to watch the series grow its fan following; it reminds me why continuity and a strong sense of place can be just as important in adult filmmaking as they are in other genres.”

Rush says he and Falcon | NakedSword President & CEO Tim Valenti were initially discussing a new Bred film separate from an annual holiday feature. But they realized combining the two was a natural fit.

“This adds a fresh twist without losing what people love about the series,” Rush says. “It’s a way to keep the brand feeling consistent and surprising at the same time.”

The feature shines with an all-star cast oozing with Christmas chemistry. It’s headlined by Sir Peter and Derek Kage in leading roles as the proprietors of a premier Southern California bed & breakfast. Their plans to reconnect over the holiday as they keep it closed are soon dashed when unexpected customers show up at their door. Just don’t tell Rush it’s a Hallmark Channel homage.

“I don’t really watch cable TV holiday movies. I get the appeal—the festive vibe and the predictability—but my own taste is a little edgier,” he says. “And, when it comes to certain networks that promote a very narrow idea of what ‘traditional’ relationships should look like—I’m talking to you, Candace Cameron Bure and Great American Family—that’s just not a space I feel aligned with creatively or personally. I’d rather put my energy into projects that celebrate a broader, more inclusive version of love and connection.”

The project also features Seth Peterson, Miles Fallon, Sean Xavier, Scott Braun, Ryan Orion, Matty West and Alex Kof. And the biggest surprise of all: Rush got Paul Wagner, who does little studio work these days, to come back so soon after appearing in Wild Game.

Christmas Candy Ass

One of the joys of a Ben Rush movie is seeing what he'll stuff up someone’s ass next. This one does not disappoint.

“You can always tell you’re in a Ben Rush movie when an everyday object suddenly becomes a penetrative toy,” says Sir Peter. “That’s just part of his trademark. He loves turning something ordinary into something wild, and he has this instinct for adding a moment that’s both shocking and playful. For Christmas, of course, the candy cane was the perfect choice.”

Derek Kage’s candy cane DP is sure to be the new hallmark of a holiday classic. The fixture is joined by Sir Peter’s even girthier cane in the unforgettable sequence. For Kage, it was a piece of cake—err, candy—following his epic triple penetration in Wild Game.

“I would be lying if I said I did not enjoy every minute of filming Wild Game. There were definitely some intense moments, but I am an actor and a performer at heart. I love what I do, and what I get to do. The Push It Inn was just as enjoyable, even if I wasn’t getting triple penetrated. I loved that I got to be a sassy B&B owner and cause so much tension throughout the movie,” he says.

“I have definitely had plenty of random objects inserted inside of me—not to mention actually having a GayVN award in there. Let’s just say the candy cane was very apropos for the movie. It was a nice addition to Sir Peter’s manhood and really got us in the Christmas spirit.”

While the glass cane wasn’t super fragile, it still prompted caution.

“As for the candy cane itself, I handled it carefully. When I get excited, I can be very intense, and I never want to hurt someone,” Peter says. “I even used it a bit like a fishhook, but always with control. Things like that can look wild, but there’s intention behind it. The whole scene ended up being fun, festive, and very ‘Ben Rush.’”

A Miracle on 69th Street

The sexual tension between Sir Peter and Kage wasn’t just in front of the camera. In fact, genuine tension in real life helped inspire Rush’s script.

“Their little X/Twitter spat absolutely shaped a lot of the interpersonal dynamic woven into the film. It gave me such a sharp, playful energy to build on,” Rush shares. “We didn’t recreate anything per se, but the way they know exactly how to push each other’s buttons was too good not to channel. It added a layer of authenticity and humor that you can’t stage. At the end of the day, they got along really well, and they worked out their differences with some crazy hot sex. It was a true Christmas miracle.”

The ultimately innocuous social media “incident” occurred earlier this year.

“Honestly, I don’t consider this an incident at all,” says Sir Peter. “People who actually know me understand that I don’t engage in online fights or that kind of energy. What happened was simply a misunderstanding based on a comment thread that was completely taken out of context.”

Peter explains that a fan asked on X if he would be filming another versatile scene soon. Because his recent epic flip scene with Paddy O’Brian from NakedSword Originals’ Spain in the Ass was such a hit, the performer said no.

“I didn’t want to repeat myself creatively. Then people began throwing out names of whom they’d like to see me work with. I was replying specifically to someone who mentioned Paddy again, so I wrote, ‘2 X No’—meaning no, I’m not repeating that pairing.”

But Peter hadn’t noticed a reply in the thread suggesting Kage as a potential partner, and his reply confused some into thinking he was saying no to that idea.

“I didn’t even see Derek’s comment; I was just following the thread as it appeared on my end. Somehow my reply was interpreted as me saying ‘no’ directly to [Derek]. That wasn’t the case at all. We were even about to be together on Wild Game and I was super excited, even though the stars didn’t ultimately align on that project,” Peter says.

“I’ve known Derek for years, since we met on a project in Puerto Vallarta, and we’ve always gotten along. Our careers took different paths, but there’s always been respect, and from my end, admiration for his work and dedication. I think we take our jobs very seriously and have the same work ethic.”

Peter says that when he realized the misunderstanding, he reached out privately to Kage on Twitter and Instagram to clarify.

“He didn’t respond, and later I noticed he’d unfollowed me, which surprised me. But again, we do things in life to protect out well-being and mental health,” Peter shares.

The performer mentioned the social media confusion to mutual friend Rush, telling him he would be honored to appear with Kage in a film.

“I didn’t want this mix-up to affect any future projects,” Peter says “At the end of the day, there was no real fight, no drama, no incident. I did what I felt was the right thing: I clarified, I apologized for the confusion, and I kept moving. The work environment on set was great, and there’s no tension on my side.”

Neither was there any for Kage, who shares his take: “Sometimes I like to create a little drama where there is none just to see what happens—‘Do it for the plot,’ as the kids are saying these days. Sir Peter told a fan he didn’t want to film a fan site collaboration with me, so I just responded, ‘Wow,’ and unfollowed him for extra effect—just to see what would happen. I think it was serendipitous because Ben Rush called me up shortly after this to ask about being in a movie with Sir Peter where we’re bickering partners. I immediately said yes!”

Rush’s decision to use that drama as inspiration for the script paid off, resulting in a memorable dynamic between the two leads.

“I joked with Ben that he was using it as material, and for that he should pay us royalties,” Peter laughs. “It had that sharp, slightly mean, darkly sarcastic tone that Derek and I both naturally have, and Ben knows exactly how to translate that into storytelling. He’s an amazing writer, and in a funny way, Derek and I ended up being his muses. That whole moment served as inspiration for the story he built into The Push It Inn.”

Rush notes the final scene with Derek and Peter on Christmas Eve “really captures the spirit of the film—playful and cheeky, pun intended.”

It also gave the director an opportunity to do more decorating. He adorns Derek in classic red union suit jammies with a button flap in the back (for easy access). And Sir Peter is in bulging Santa-themed trunks, bound to lift the holiday spirits of viewers.

“That underwear has definitely become a highlight for a lot of people,” Peter says. “I’ve always been really into American holiday culture. Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, and I even enjoy Thanksgiving and all the Christmas traditions. And let’s be honest: Most people have that one pair of holiday-themed underwear a parent or grandparent gave them at some point. I personally have a Christmas onesie I’ve kept for years. I’ll probably wear the Santa trunks this year and post on my socials. I’m genuinely happy people are enjoying the look.”

The Passion of Peter & Paul

For all the fanfare around the candy cane DP finale with the two leads, it’s another scene from The Push It Inn that might be the most talked about. Sir Peter and Paul Wagner's passionate pairing demands repeat viewings.

“Paul is, without exaggeration, one of the most handsome and sexiest men I’ve ever had the pleasure not only to know, but to be intimately involved with,” Peter says. “That alone says everything.”

The two filmed one platform scene together, but it was nearly five years ago. The reunion was long overdue.

“Paul has this natural calmness that I connect with deeply,” Peter says. “At the same time, he carries himself with such effortless confidence. I always knew he would go back to studio work, and I told Ben probably a million times: If Paul ever wants to keep doing projects, I have to find a way to do at least one scene that would be immortalized and nobody could take that away from me…he truly is someone exceptional to work with and to be around.”

After luring Wagner back to studio films in Wild Game, Rush did it again for this project. Having Sir Peter in the cast helped. The director says the pairing came together very naturally, as he’s friends with both performers.

“I’ve always known they have a real affection and ease with each other, both personally and professionally. When the opportunity came up, it just made sense because of their chemistry and their ability to bring out the best in each other,” Rush says. “You’ll notice that Sir Peter and Paul—speaking of which, all we need is Mary and we have a heritage singing group!—did specific sexual things with each other that they don’t often do in their other work. That’s a testament to the fire between them. It’s quite something to see.”

That included some hot wax play and fucking with an oversized Hanukkah candle, allowing Rush to indulge in two loves at once. That it was performed on Sir Peter was the unexpected twist.

“What can I say, I have a way of getting guys to do things they wouldn’t normally,” Wagner laughs. “In all seriousness, though, chemistry plays a big part in what you are willing to let the other person do to you. Sir Peter is such an amazing guy. Before we even collaborated years ago, I already had a crush on him. Meeting in person did not disappoint. I was very excited for the opportunity to reconnect on this film. The chemistry between us was as strong as ever in this scene.”

And it shows, giving Bred & Breakfast: The Push It Inn yet another signature scene to celebrate the holidays.

“I adore Paul. I have huge admiration for him, and from my side there’s a very strong connection. I would absolutely go on a date with him. You must realize by now that I have a big crush on him!” Peter gushes. “For me, it was a special moment, and I knew I had to take that opportunity when it came. And honestly, when I’m older, I know I’ll look back at that scene with Paul and feel grateful that it happened.”
