LOS ANGELES—Cybersocket has opened the nomination period for its 11th annual Cybersocket Web Awards. Each year, the awards honor outstanding achievement by LGBT websites in both “Industry Choice” and “Surfers Choice” categories.
“We feel that it is essential to honor these individuals and companies as being technological entrepreneurs, important agents of free expression and cultural change, and innovators in queer online media and entertainment,” said Cybersocket co-found Morgan Sommer.
Online nominations for both the surfer and industry categories opened Aug. 2 and close Sept. 30. Webmasters may nominate their favorites in 12 categories here; surfers may make their nominations in 26 categories here.
Online voting will run from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31. The time, date and place for the gala awards ceremony has not been determined.
