Wet Dreams is basically true to its title. It is a collection of fantasies, centering around a woman (Cody Nicole) whose best friend has recommended that she fantasize in order to get in touch with her hidden sexual feelings.  First, her friend (Rene Summers) illustrates what she has in mind as when she fantasizes in the restaurant they are dining in, about the two of them, a waiter, and a bar of butter.  Suffice to say it is a slippery experience, but Summers has Nicole getting into the thick of the action.  Then we see the fantasies of others in the restaurant, and other people in general throughout the city Wet Dreams takes place in.  There is really no storyline.  Each segment introduces the next, until our heroine finally understands her own needs, and has an incredible, fireworks producing experience with a dishwasher repairman.  It’s truly one of the better encounters in this (and a number of other) films.

For an all-sex film, Wet Dreams is pretty good.  The lack of a real storyline serves better to focus attention on the sexual activity.  But, this does become something of a problem, as some of the sex scenes tend to run on a bit too long, and the excitement gets lost in the repetition.  There is variety, though.  Included is a bondage scene, a number of 3-ways, a high-school cheerleader, and of course, the usual groupings.

But what sets Wet Dreams apart is the high quality of the production.  It’s somewhat campy (little bells and fireworks, etc.) but it seems well-made and well-produced.  The film quality is fine, and the musical background and dubbing are better than most.  Pachard directs the actors to full potential; they seem involved, interested, and hungry!  There is a slightly manic feeling about this film.  These folks, perhaps because it is all fantasies, seem truly horny.  And this makes Wet Dreams a sexually stunning experience.
