AVN's Best Anal-Themed Video 2000 hits the market as a slightly disappointing DVD. While the transfer is fairly sharp, it suffers from several different color problems in varying degrees. Color tones on one end of the spectrum are extremely dark, offering no detail at all in the blacks; lighter color tones have mild to medium color moire throughout the disc. The transfer also suffers from mild edge pixelation. Audio quality was actually better on the tape, as the disc has a slightly tinny tone, combined with a muddy bottom end that makes some dialogue difficult to decipher. The behind-the-scenes footage is a straight transfer of the footage from the tape.
