The Understudy is a movie reminiscent of Deuce Bigolow Male Gigolo, with a pool boy learning to be a gigolo in the absence of the actual gigolo. This movie is hot, rather than humorous because eventually our main character catches on and begins successfully pleasuring women.

In Ed Powers Takes Philadelphia, he's "doin' the Ed thing" again, but this time he's in Philadelphia picking up women and giving a history lesson along the way.

Both discs are of reasonable quality with most of the noise resulting from a less-than-perfect VHS master. Lots of spots in Ed's feature are high-contrast and sometimes grainy. The biggest problem on both discs is that there is a definite moire" pattern and fuzzy edges. The Understudy iswashed out in many places and sometimes pinkish, but you can actually see film grain.
