If Leslie Nielsen's your idea of Dracula, you might want to pass on this atmospheric and sexy spaghetti horror flick from the Sixties. But if you're smitten with the concept of bad dubbing and five near-naked showgirls running around a creepy castle in translucent nightgown, being stalked by a vampire resembling a young John Gotti, this is your film. In fact, the line credits sound a bit like Sunday afternoon dinner at the Teflon Don's. And the film-style with the spooky indirect lighting is a dead-on impression of director Mario Bava in Black Sunday.
A dark and stormy night waylays and entertainment troupe at the castle of Count Kernassy, a vampire whose last name sounds like a city in North Jersey. The girls are gold not to go roaming about. Being dim-witted (but leggy) showgirls, they obviously will. The rest is pretty much your standard-issue, stake-in-the-breast vampire shtick with some peek-a-boo striptease and brief nudity thrown in.
If you've had success with Something Weird titles in the past, bear in mind that a just-issued Summer '97 catalog supplement brings brand new goodies to your door.
