Synopsis

Mandy thinks she has found the perfect roommate in her co-worker, Michele. But when an innocent comment is misinterpreted by Michele, things quickly escalate from platonic roommates to full-on infatuation. Afraid that she might be overreacting, Mandy digs a little into Michele’s past and quickly discovers that things are darker and more sinister than she ever imagined and that it might be too late and too dangerous to end their arrangement.

Reviews

2016 AVN Best New Starlet Abella Danger displays previously unmined thespian chops in one of the past year’s most memorable performances as the off-balance villainess of this Single White Female-esque suspense drama from masterful storyteller Jacky St. James.

Danger plays Michele, a quiet loner who’s just moved in with co-worker Mandy (Chanel Preston) and her boyfriend Alex (Michael Vegas). When Mandy notices that Michele has done some significant chores around the house without being asked—organizing the cupboards, cleaning the fridge—she decides to break her usual strict rule of not crossing the roommate/friend boundary and, as a gesture of thanks, gives Michele a matching bracelet to one of hers that Michele previously admired. Bad move.

Michele instantly snaps into an intense and unnerving obsession with Mandy that takes a turn for the threatening when, during a weeklong visit from Mandy’s sister Lucy and her fiancé Jay (Adria Rae and Jay Smooth), she learns that Mandy has been carrying on an affair with Jay for some time.

Amidst all this, Mandy and Alex have a torrid fuck in their bedroom—which Michele spies on creepily from the hallway shadows—and Lucy and Jay get it on in the kitchen while everyone else is sleeping.

Growing increasingly wary of Michele’s behavior, Mandy looks into her past and discovers that she has a restraining order against her filed by another woman (Reena Sky) for similarly menacing antics—triggered after a sort-of three-way occurred between the two of them and a man Sky brought home from a bar (Logan Pierce) who soon became serious with her romantically.

If there’s any flaw in this movie, it’s that Michele’s final act of malice feels a bit contrived, but it still involves some raucous anal sex, so who are we to question it?

All in all, another stellar example of Jacky St. James’ virtuosic command of adult cinema.
