Mistress was a dismal, overrated mainstream flick about a struggling screenwriter whose long-dormant project is resurrected by an equally-struggling agent/producer, only to lose control as each of the investors has a totally unsuitable girlfriend to be crammed into leading roles in the film.
It seems ready-made for translation to porn: just add the hinted-at sex, and presto! You've got The Mistress. (You also had a two-parter a few months ago from VGA called Hard To Stop and Still Hard To Stop, which did a much better job with this theme.) What was suggested with sly humor is now explicit with broad humor. There's nothing wrong with the Cash Markman script, and certainly nothing wrong with Jonathan Morgan's adroit performance as the hapless scripter, or Steve Austin's non-sex support as the agent, but it just doesn't fly.
Krista, impressive in her debut in Video Team's The Natural, simply walks through her opener "screentest" with T. T. Boy — her phony climaxes come at egg-timer regular intervals. She redeems herself, though, in a hot bathroom closer with Jonathan as he creams her big tits.
Other sex highs and lows: Melanie Moore plays bored, filing her nails as Terry Thomas unleashes a major flood on her torso. T.T. Boy again proves his mettle as a woodsman, bending Melanie and Crystal Wilder over side-by-side and pounding them into a desk, in the vid's best scene. Dyanna Lauren shows up for a perfunctory girl/girler with Crystal and scores the nice boxcover (by the way, this is definitely a customer pet peeve — your boxcover star should usually get laid. I haven't yet figured out where fanine fits in this theory).
