In porn history, there was a time before the San Fernando
Valley and its silicone blonde queens ruled the day. In that
time, New York City was where luscious, decadent filth was
produced and viewed in theaters. Here, director Joe Gallant
brings that time to the present, and he does so with an
      excellent spirit.

The last words on the screen in the credits for The Luv
Generation simply say "SEEK TRUTH." This sounds like simple
advice, but it's not in the realm of today's pornography; yet
Gallant achieves that here with the deviants he has cast.
Shot at Collective Unconscious Theatre on the Lower East Side
by five different cameramen, there is something for everyone,
and if you can't find something that turns you on in this
cavalcade of flesh, there is really no hope for you in this
      world of ours.

There's a beat poetry group performance intro, boy/girl,
      girl/girl, threeways, b.j.'s, a threeway all-male scene with
oral and ass fucking, anal in many variations, urination (no
one is shown getting peed on), S/M, bondage and paint enemas
displayed in the three hours this piece rolls on.

The sex on display here is pure hedonism at its finest, with
the people here really just having fun and having the kind of
sex they want without judgments. It's the kind of video where
cumshots don't dictate a scene's success. The quality of the
footage depends on who's shooting at the time, but it's all
worth seeing for the type of porn freedom it represents.
There are 13 individual sex scenes, some abbreviated with
various bits of goodness interspersed throughout. So here are
some highlights along with this reviewer's nominations.

A Most Outrageous Sex Scene Nom goes to Lucy Lucy, Star and
Jamie Gillis for some paint enema play where Gillis notes his
complete disappointment that Lucy had an enema beforehand, so
no multi-colored shit will come flying out, and to Kali and
her pissing off a balcony scene. Best Solo Scene to Myra Moss
for the vag and anal show she gives some non-believers. Best
Oral Scene to Erika Kole and Gillis for their hummer
floorshow that goes on as the band plays. Best Music to the
band (Matt Katz Bowen, Francisco Hiawatha, Jimmy Bassiste,
Jaughn Smythe, Richard Dworkin and Maria Cantina). Best
Director - Non-Feature and Best Editing to Joe Gallant for
the entire affair. Best Pro-Am Release to the all the
      magic.
