Who would have thought that behind the "Sweet Young Thing" exteriors of Dallas' most darling Debs exist the wildest, horniest young women ever to be caught dead at a coming out ball? Not you? Well, neither did Herschel Savage, until he set out to interview five luscious lasses for the biography page of the Dallas Tribune. He thinks it's a worthless assignment, better suited to a society page flunky than a top reporter. But he's in the doghouse with the editor, so it's off to the Debs!

First on his list is Ali Moore, who almost runs over her paperboy with her little red Ferrari. Of course, she manages to soothe the paperboy's sore knee, and makes another part throb as well! Later, she and Jerry butler (Savage's photographer) make full use of the Ferrari for some more fun and games. Unfortunately, Moore participates in the least arousing portions of this entire video. She's totally unconvincing, both as a Deb and as a woman in the throes of passion. In her first scene (with paperboy Tom Byron), she merely looks bored and uninterested. And Byron isn't much better, trying to portray a nerd.

But, there are other debutantes to come, and luckily for the viewer they are quite an improvement. Bunny Bleu is very charming as a heartbroken woman whose boyfriend has left her. Of course, after only 40 minutes he returns (who wouldn't, with Bunny waiting?). The welcome-back is a torrid, truly believable scene with Ms. Bleu and Mark Wallace. The action here is quite hot, with a variety of positions, and what appears to be genuine affection between the two performers. They even kiss... a lot! I like to see kissing during sex, it reminds me that there are people up there.

Also, a pleasant surprise is the performance of Erica Boyer. She is completely natural and wild in her portrayal of a lusty lady. It's a joy to see a well-proportioned woman in XXX who does not look like she's starving! Ms. Boyer has a fine body, but her ribs don't tick out. Hurrah!

Technically, though, there are numerous problems. The stark lighting creates numerous shadows. The sound quality is among the least effective I've heard in a long time... echoes, overamplified voices. And, the sets are all the same, and all uninspiring. Surely, Dallas' finest Debs deserve better than this! Debutante is an unfortunately average shot-on-video production with a story that goes nowhere. But it is elevated beyond the boring with fine performances by Bleu, Boyer, and Wallace. If you're a fan of any of these three, or would like to be, give these debutantes a night on the town!
