I have been a fan of Bizarre Video ever since I stumbled upon Jane Bonda's Bizarre Workout. I find their tapes to be unique, because they combine bizarre subject matter with an unusually dry sense of humor. Even though the quality of their cassettes is consistently bad, their material is usually interesting and often humorous enough to let you forget about all those clichés.

Can bondage be funny? It is in the world of Bizarre Video, mainly because of the situations they put their bondees in. (i.e. Transvestite Castle, Happy birthday Bondage Gram). Bizarre Video's bondage tapes are primarily played for laughs and are often quite campy.

Unfortunately, you'll have no fun and little arousal with the Best Of Bizarre Video Voles I and II. These tapes are too unevenly paced and poorly put together to make any impact on the viewer. Each tape consists o ffive scenes of about 12 minutes in length. The segment are much too short to be fully enjoyed. This presents a big problem when you consider that Bizarre's tapes are generally poorly taped and editing anyway. The result of editing three or four poorly filmed clips together into a tight 12 minute segment is virtually unwatchable.

To make matters worth, they didn't close very good clips to represent themselves in this best-of collection. If you weren't familiar with the full-length versions of each segment, there is no way you could even begin to appreciate them. When you combine all the obstacles Bizarre set for themselves with this collection, it actually turns out to be the world of Bizarre.

However, there are two worthwhile segments that feature the gorgeous transsexual Shannon in Volume Two. Man To Maiden has Shannon in a lesbian love triangle where here "secret weapon" sees some action. In Roommates In Bondage, she's in a lesbian bondage triangle where her phallic surprise gets her in trouble. ("as long as you have 'that' between your legs you must be punished!") It's very interesting, but you are much better off renting the full tapes and leaving this very questionable best-of collection on the shelf.
