Sultry Internet superstar Raven Riley crosses over to features with this impressive independent horror-porn about a foxy museum curator who locks horns (and other body parts) with an ancient and bloodthirsty sex demon (Liz Vicious). Succubi and the Old Testament story of Lilith, first wife to Adam and "mother of all demons," have been addressed by directors ranging from Jess Franco (the soft-X Succubus, 1969) to Henri Pachard (1985's Lilith Unleashed), but Jack Hemingway adds considerable blood and action to the formula.

Succubus could easily pass as a direct-to-video action-thriller were it not for the hardcore action. Of course, that's the main selling point, and Hemingway doesn't skimp. Riley's shower romp with the local sheriff (Baxter) is a standout, as are the opening and closing undead orgies, which run wild with all manner of bodily fluids. Acting's a bit stiff (Ron Jeremy's split-second cameo is the strongest performance), but for XXX made outside West Coast channels, it's a solid effort.
