The opening few moments show a girl jumping out of a moving car and puking on the side of the road. This certainly indicates that this all-girl sexy thriller may be a bit ... different.
Brooklyn Gray and Kira Noir, together two years now and on the precipice of becoming engaged, start things with an intensely romantic and erotic coupling. They then join up with straight friend Lilly Bell for a girl’s car trip down the PCH and quickly bond with singing and other girl stuff. They encounter an obviously Sapphic-slanted Victoria Voxxx on a beach, who joins them on the journey.
Things begin to get spooky as Voxxx starts humming in the car—causing the others to fall asleep—and the car crashes in a deserted no-cell area. Lost in the dark woods, they stumble upon an isolated cottage where homeowner Aiden Starr, who says she sleeps like a dead thing, provides them rooms for the night.
The mysterious Voxxx, who speaks in an eerie monotone, has powers to influence others. One particularly sexy thing occurs when, while Voxxx is bathing, straight Lilly Bell walks in on her in the tub, their eyes lock, and Bell leans forward and kisses Voxxx, who slowly submerges her head while they are kissing, pulling Bell's head underwater with her until Bell, startled, breaks off the kiss and leaves looking confused.
Death, harpies and other mysterious things that go hump in the night blend in with controlling sex to make this one really stand out. Viewers should not skip over the non-sex parts; this should be seen from start to finish. Well done, all.
