Here's a unique, if not terribly erotic attempt at fusing artiness and sexploitation. Producer/Writer/Director/Performer Marie Madison conjures up a futuristic dystopian hell, if you're a smoker anyway.
With tobacco trafficking in the hands of unscrupulous gangsters, female smokers are forced to put out in order to support their habit. Not without humor or wit, but the erotic value is overwhelmed by the sheer scope of the project. The scenes veer from amateur-quality hook-ups to awkward performance art. Much of the symbolism might simply be lost on the viewer just looking to get off.
Despite such shortcomings, it's a well-packaged two-disc set with a making-of featurette rife with fascinating insight.
