Marilyn Star and Candy Hill play would-be starlets who learn the hard way how to break into show business.  Not exactly a scathing commentary on Hollywood's mores, Shooting Star is really just about fucking.  Overall the sex is good.  Honorable mention goes to Marilyn Star, who gives a stellar performance, especially when she's teamed up with beefy Frank Towers, who outdoes himself by eating her pussy while holding her upside down.  Now that's a man.  The overall production is acceptable, but just barely.
