What can be said about a sex film, when the "film" part is more enjoyable that the "sex"? Sex Play sports an excellent cast, crew and script, but falls way short of the mark in its sexual encounters.

Except for the final encounter, a hot one involving Eric Edwards and Kimberly Carson, the well-photographed "sexplays" are quite dull and very, very long.

It's a neat little story, about a secretary who gets even with her lousy boss and then falls in love with him. But, really, what's the point. The main draw of a porno film should be the sex. So although Sex Play might be a good initiation for "first-timers," it can't really be recommended as a turn-on.
