Imagine a sexed-up version of The Shining, with its writer-trapped-in-a-remote-poltergeist-inhabited-hotel - now replace the gore with butt fucking. That's pretty much the down and dirty on Secret Pleasure, an English-dubbed Italian import whose action is generic as its title.

The plot, much like protagonist Claudio Dark, wanders around in a Scotch-fueled fog, hallucinating close encounters of the otherworldly kind. Much like you'd imagine a game of ghostly grab-ass, the ambiance is explicit yet dispassionate. Dark finally nabs some decent ethereal poontang in the closing scene, at which point it's too late for a resurrection.

Technically the title desperately seeks to emulate a competitor whose company name is best kept private. On this level it succeeds. Unfortunately, impressive architecture and eye-catching lighting do not tend to give most viewers a raging boner.
