Tighter editing and a genuine follow-through on this feature's premise are the two most glaring problems with Scream. Lexie Marie stars as the girlfriend who's ignored by her boyfriend, hit on by waiter Marcos Leon in a restaurant and, after she follows him into the kitchen to view Leon engaging in some angry make-up sex with his girlfriend, returns to her table to find someone sitting at her place, eating her food. It's enough to make you scream, isn't it?

Lexie wanders the streets of downtown LA, coming upon a gal b.j.ing two guys in a doorway and helping a gal-pal rescue her when the guys attempt rape – but once all three are safely at the near-victim's apartment, Lexie spots a manifesto on the wall that seems to encourage women to express their anger through screaming, and both Lexie and, later, her boyfriend, do a little of that – but clearly not enough to save this muddled plot.

The sex here is decent, particularly the second scene, despite its long interruption for the doorway b.j.-and-rescue, but not good enough to raise the rating.

Retailing: Plenty of good-looking gals here, but count on Lexie to sell this muddled drama.
