Bored Marseilles housewife Mariska engages studly handyman James Duval to help maintain her house, what that her husband is away on business a lot. As she peruses his résumé, he studies her décolletage, and they are both satisfied enough for him to start the job. A few days later, as Duval and housekeeper Anita Rover tidy the pool deck, Duval confesses to Rover that he finds Mariska attractive as they watch her sunbathe by the pool in a black swimsuit. When Mariska's hubby Jason Steel gives her a goodbye fuck before leaving on another business trip, she is dismayed when Duval unexpectedly catches them in the act and fires him on the spot.
Turns out Steel's "business trip" is a rendezvous with his mistress Nikita Bellucci, who welcomes him with a tirade about being tired of getting strung along and when are you going to leave your wife? He sweet-talks her into bed before heading off for a business dinner, leading her to engage a detective to check out Steel's real situation.
Meanwhile, back in Marseilles, housekeeper Rover calls Duval to invite him out for a drink. He declines, bummed about losing the handyman gig, but she commiserates, saying those two have sex carelessly all the time, and he invites her over to his place. She accepts "as soon as I get ready" by doing up her makeup and putting on a skimpy sundress, which doesn’t stay on long after she arrives at Duval's loft.
Bellucci's detective reports that her suspicions were justified: the "business dinner" involved a hotel room and other women. She clears out, leaving a note with the pictures from the hotel party, and when Steel gets back home to Mariska, she doesn't want him either, kicking him out. Alone and having second thoughts about Duval, Mariska calls him and apologizes, offering his old handyman job back as he lies in bed with Rover. He declines the job offer, but agrees to come by and pick up the jacket he left, and when she makes a play for him he doesn't resist, even inviting her to a quick trip to Corsica. But he hadn’t counted on Rover changing her mind on the Corsica trip. Or Mariska telling Rover to house-sit while she's gone. To Corsica.
First-time director/screenwriter Clara Mia, a longtime Euro-performer, relies on voice-over narration (and occasional untranslated interstitials) to drive the plot, but she has a good eye for unexpected angles and creative camera placement.
