Synopsis

Ava Rose captures the sheer essence of a notorious pin-up, replete with vintage lingerie, cigarettes and a smoking hot body. When a freelance photographer happens upon her, he becomes transfixed by her resemblance to a pin-up girl he loves: Bettie. Obsessed with Bettie's beauty and sensuality, he can hardly believe his eyes, or what happens, when she arrives at his studio. In the flesh.

Reviews

It came as no surprise to see Winkytiki's name attached to the BTS segment here, what with the movie's obvious focus on the pin-up. (Winkytiki, of course, being the king of the pin-up resurgence.) But that's not much more than a side note of interest.

The movie itself tells the rather muddled tale of a photographer (Tommy Gunn) who spies a Bettie Page lookalike (Rose) from afar, and becomes fixated on tracking her down. Only she's a plant arranged by his agent (Dirty Harry) to inspire him to ... uh ... take pictures of her.

At one point, Kelly Skyline and Jenny Lopez barge into the photog's studio demanding to be made models, engage in some nice muff-munching while he's out of the room, and then leave.

In any event, back to that BTS segment, it actually may be the most interesting offering on this disc, as it has the actors remain in full character for its entirety.
