An off-beat comedy on sexual expectations and stereotyping, Never on Tuesday is an unusual, sometimes interesting, sometimes ponderous entry on the softcore market.

Andrew Lauer and Peter Berg play two nerdy teens from Ohio, who drive cross-country to L.A., in hopes of meeting some bikini-clas babes. While on a deserted road, they crash into a car driven by a California babe in the flesh, a beautiful dirty blonde played by Claudia Christian (the go-go dancer in The Hidden).

Stranded in the desert with the gal, our heroes spread some mouse on their hair, and wait for some action. Unfortunately, they have to settle for some elaborate fantasies instead: this babe ain't buying their desires, and, besides, she's got a secret of her own.

Slickly lenses with great music (The O'Kaysians' "Girl Watcher" kicks things off), Never on Tuesday is a class production that has some charm and an energetic performance by the ravishing Christian. Fans looking for nudity will be disappointed, but fans of tease won't.
