How's this for raw action: a rich older woman, Greta, is in love with a young gigolo who's quickly running her out of money. Along comes the woman's 17 year old niece, Inga, whom Greta plots to fix up with a rich old family friend, get his money and live it up with her boyfriend. Little does she realize that Inga is interested in the gigolo, and the feeling seems to be mutual.

Is it a storyline from "Dallas?" "Dynasty?" Some other soap opera that starts with the letter D? Nope, it's Inga, a 1967 sex-meller from Sweden, proving once again that American TV is behind the times. With its Bergmanesque touches, this art theater classic should appeal to an audience old enough to remember when these types of pictures were imported by the boatload but whose remnants are whittled down to a precious few on videotape.

There's a nice scene of Inga masturbating, and later, a regular orgy breaks out. Interestingly, sex is hardly ever discussed except in relationship to money. For those who want to analyze the story, I'm sure that means something (beyond the obvious, that is). The rest of us will just have to sit and alternately ask ourselves "when are they going to show another tit?"
