There's this one particular house that Teri Weigel seems to get drawn to, no matter what. She's house sitting for it in the Barlow Affair, next she's getting screwed in it by Joey Silvera in Lingerie Busters. Now, she's house sitting for the same place again In Spellbound, Weigel might as well buy the damn place and rent It out to the video companies and make some money.

Interestingly, Spellbound has an oomph more pizazz than Barlow Affair, and I mention this because both projects were helmed by the team of Patti Rhodes and Fred Lincoln, and have, intrinsically, the same look about them. Plain and simply, it's the sexual chemistry that puts this one over the top.

Weigel likes to parade nude in the front window. Peter North, who is a hotshot Hollywood star, spies on her with his telescope to the consternation of his girlfriend Barbi Dahl.

North comes over to introduce himself, and Weigel recognizes him as a TV star. Sooner or later, you know North will cop to the Hollywood "I'll make you a star" razzle dazzle to lure Weigel. Likewise, Weigel tries to tone down the rumors to friend Zara Whites which suggests that she's also sleeping with Mr. Absentee House Guy — but "you can never say no to a man — especially one who is rich and famous," says the former Playmate. Ain't that the truth.

The video is pretty basic, and people just keep dropping in all the time to have sex. Tom Byron, who plays a big time rock n' roll star, brings over two bimbos, Britt Morgan and Brigette Monroe to "camp out". Meanwhile Weigel's brother (played by her real life husband) is eating out Monroe when Teri kicks him out of the house.

Teri winds up asking friend Zara if she'll show the house to prospective buyer Randy West. I mean, somebody's got to own this house sooner or later, and whether West makes a down payment or not seems pretty irrelevant after his scorcher with Zara on the staircase. Note how subtle Zara is in the sale pitch when she greets him at the door, naked.

Sexually, Weigel has two great scenes with North and Byron, the latter which features some Interesting camerawork, especially of her feet splashing frantically in the bath tub like she were Pebbles Flintstone trying to start her car. The only slam on Weigel is that her squeals are beginning to sound either like an asthmatic at a tobacco auction, or worse, a piggie going to a slaughterhouse. They seem to be getting a wee bit theatrical to be effective.

Spellbound, however, rates extremely high on the erotic scale with a solid look of excellence.
