O’ Canada. You’ve given us such great kinky films in the past, like The Silent Partner and In Praise Of Older Women. Thanks hosers, for this dynamic sexual thriller.

Former playmate Shannon Tweed and Art Hindle (The Brood) are a married couple with sexual problems. She’s frigid; he’s enraged. His therapist suggest a sexual surrogate. The surrogate, played with wild abandon by Carole Laure (Get Out Your Handkerchiefs), introduces the couple to S&M with a little B&D thrown in for good measure. The couple gets off on it. But they’re afraid that their pleasure – and the surrogate’s violent ways – are going too far.

Add a subplot involving a series of murders and a female impressionist (played by impersonator Jim Bailey), and you’ve got one bizarre three-ring circus. This movie delivers the goods all the way, and remains involving (albeit a bit cheesy) throughout.

O, Canada. Would you teach your American cousins something about making neat, sexually-sparked low-budget movies?
