Just mentioning the name Traci Lords among fans of porn video will elicit a strong verbal reaction.  She made quite a name for herself in adult sexvids and was quite strong until the scandal came out.  Now that most of her acting attention has been directed towards projects aimed at the mainstream audience, she has had more disappointments than successful triumphs.

Shock 'Em Dead might be the vehicle that turns her luck around.  Much of the credit is not due her as much as the fine work turned in by the other performers and the excellent special effects employed.  She may end up getting a free ride by lucking into a pretty good horror flick!

The story line centers around Stephen Quadros, a hard-working pizza boy who tires of the unfair treatment dumped on him by his boss, played by veteran performer Aldo Ray.  To escape, he enters into an agreement with the devil to become the world's greatest rock n' roll guitarist.  But there are strings attached.  In order to remain alive, he must kill the living.  After devouring several delicious-looking babes, he decides to do in Traci Lords.  Can she stay out of his clutches long enough to discover a way to destroy him?

Although Traci Lords does not shed any of her clothes in this good thriller, quite a few of the other gals do provide some fun topless entertainment.  Hack 'em up freaks will especially enjoy the large amounts of gore that is presented in detail.  The director doesn't chicken out!  He provides both on-screen violence and a fair amount of nudity.

The skin, unpredictable twists and realistic acting make Shock 'Em Dead a super entry in the horror market.  Worth stocking for your B-movie section.
