If PBS specials make you sleepy, then this video will send you right into a deep coma. While the topic of female orgasms and why some women have a difficult time achieving them is indeed interesting, and is handled in an informative and mature manner, the presentation of the material by sexologist Herb Seal and Norma Wilcox, (R.N., M.H.S.) is simply arid. Dr. Seal begins this tape by discussing potential physiological reasons for being "pre-orgasmic" such as "clitoral adhesions" (something about the labia sticking together because of excess smegma), hooded clitorises (above and beyond the "normal"), and "underdeveloped PCG muscles", The good doctor then proceeds to tackle the psychological issues which cloud women's minds. Case history interviews with two women ("Anne" and "Pamela") are used to examine and illustrate these psychological barriers.

The final portion of the tape deals with "Lessons in Love: Intimate Communication" and features Ms. Wilcox and a male partner buck naked in bed and talking some "oh, so PC" pillow talk. You'd hardly know there was a live guy under there. In any case, she finally cums (although what it looked and sounded like was a grand mal seizure), he pops, they cuddle and boom… we're into the post game wrap-up with a fully clothed (conservative attire of course) Norma. As far as clinical documentaries on sexuality go, this one's not bad, but no matter the context, the drone is still there. Far better tapes exist on the subject in a quantity which makes this video seem rather pale, if you catch my drift.
