This video is a well-scripted, perfectly charming conceit with a weird but funny premise and script. With only four sex scenes, only one of which catches fire at all, this is squarely, but successfully, in the "couples' video" category.

Cameo is engaged to Steve Drake, and planing a dinner party for the boss and his wife (Ron Jeremy, just brilliant here, and Leanna Foxxx) to meet him, but her bitchy girlfriend Alicyn Sterling jumps Steve's bones, and she catches them in the climax of the act. Hearthbroken, she wishes her faithful puppy could tell her what really happened —and voilà! The pup turns into Jerry Butler, who is not quite dog, not quite human, and not quite the perfect substitute fiancé for the dinner party. Butler is hilarious, and for once it's OK for him to chew the scenery. Aja has a cute nonsex cameo as the doggie-next-door —as I understand it, getting your crotch sniffed by Jerry Butler is an everyday event, not a sex act. Kudos to Butler, who turns in a winning performance that is just out of control enough.
