Lamentably, Erotic Aquatics is one of the weaker entries in the entire Bennett catalogue. The reason for this is the same fate suffered by many of the "trendy" videos we see nowadays in the alternative video canon. Somebody in the editing bay gets toaster happy, and insists upon rendering every second of viewing time impalpable with a megalith of distracting visual tricks.

The editing gimmicks are neither intrinsic to the enjoyment of this show, nor necessary, because lurking beneath this gauze of imperceptibility is some terrific glamour footage. The girls in this feature are extremely pretty from what I can make out, but, go figure. The vignettes include 1-girl, 2-girl and multi-girl episodes with aquatic themes.

Boxcover girl Raven Alexander is featured in a stylish nude underwater ballet, moments of which are frozen for the viewer and reminds one of the classic underwater stills produced by legendary photog Peter Gowland. But after Raven's compelling opener, it's no-holds-barred editomania. One bright spot of note is an exceptionally clever take on a '50s black & white glamour loop in which two gals ddressed as pirates engage in some spirited grab ass. This scene is worth a view.
