Synopsis

This isn\'t the Angelica Sin star vehicle that the title and the sole cover shot of her would lead your customers to believe; she\'s in a grand total of one sex scene. The couples for whom the tape is intended, however, probably won\'t give a hoot.

Reviews

A lament of sorts for the so-called Golden Age of Porn, Palace of Sin is likely to have viewers asking themselves if the fuck flicks of that much-hyped era crawled at the same snail's pace that this vid does.

Cash Markman's intelligent but oh-so-static script centers on the bittersweet reminiscences of porn projectionist Tony Tedeschi on closing night of the theater he's worked at since the pre-VCR revolution.

Unfortunately, those memories don't go anywhere fast, due, in large part, to the screenplay's paucity of dramatic tension and the director's penchant for superfluous sequences that don't advance what little story there really is.

The sex is a bit more lively, but that's not saying much.  The hottest of a distinctly middle-of-the-road lot is the opener, a Timber/Angelica Sin/Rich Handsome outdoor balcony tryst that throws off some sparks some of the time.  Alas, that's more than can be vouched for the tape's four other, more mundane boy/girl couplings.

Truth be told, the vid's most compelling bits are a smattering of 20-year-old clips projected by Tedeschi's character, particularly one of a barely recognizable Ron Jeremy, sans mustache and gut.  Compared to Palace of Sin, that stuff really was golden.
