Starts with a sex scene between Kira and T.J. Cummings in a white nowhere, ending with him popping near her snatch, and her wiping the jizz off with her hand and looking up at him hurt, betrayed. Next thing we know, she's in labor, flashing back on her relationship with Cummings - and none too happily, either - while he videotapes the whole delivery. Just like he videotaped his dalliance with April, Kira's sister, which she found when she hit the wrong button on the remote. We follow Kener on her emotional roller-coaster ride as she reflects on her life with him and her current giving-birth situation. Ending is very strong and un-porn-like.

Director-writer David Stanley adds mastery of editing - with editor Diego Scazzi - to his mastery of narrative, seamlessly mixing film-look and tape-look with just enough stutter-edits and other tricks to keep it contemporary. Stanley effortlessly shifts between flashback and right-now, between reality and hallucinated dream, with well-written voiceover narrative that pins the situation to the wall so it can be studied like a butterfly.
