Interesting to compare how far Michael Raven has come in just a couple of years. Street Meat, which we reviewed in March of '99, is a straightforward wall-to-waller with lots of threesomes and good, economical camerawork, whereas Blondes, an Editor's Choice from August of 2000, is a study in the use of movement to convey excitement beyond merely the hot sexuality and terrific editing.

The tech side of these discs is an interesting comparison as well. Street Meat presents sharp images (except for those out-of-focus moments during zooms) and occasionally fairly heavy color moire — which doesn't detract from the enjoyment, but is nonetheless quite noticeable in spots. Blondes, on the other hand, displays similar moire, but since the action consists mostly of dark scenes and is purposely shot soft, whatever transfer problems may exist are well-hidden.
